TOAD for Oracle

Oracle Instant Client

– Download from Oracle (OTN), get the x64 version (There is a 64-bit installer for TOAD 11.6 and later)

– Unzip into a directory

– Set TNS_ADMIN system environment variable to the directory path of instant client location

Add this directory to the system PATH variable

– Create a tnsnames.ora and copy it to the install directory

Install TOAD with the 64-bit installer executable

Set GUI to English

Edit the file …\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.conf, add a line AddVMOption -Duser.language=en
